Late to sleep, Early to Rise.  By late I mean 3 a.m. by early I mean 7:30.  So not to much sleep.

Our day started off early taking a taxi to get into another taxi to take us to the Jordanian Border.  We than got on a bus and drove accross the King Hussein bridge.  Across the bridge there were many checkpoints to go through, we needed to show our passport at least 5 times.  The woman who first compared my face on my passport to my current face (with a beard) was shocked that I was the same man.  On Tuesday a student, Ibraheem, thought that I was 30 – 35 years old.  Beards make you wise.

Once we arrived in Jerusalem we walked to the place that we are staying.  It is a very nice Alliance Hermitage very close to the Old City.  We had not eaten for a while so we found a very good filafel place nearby.  It was delicious we went home and slept at 4:30 with intention to wake up at 6 and go out.  I woke around 8:30 and realized this was not a reality.  We sat around and spoke with the manager of the hermitage and had a great time learning about Jerusalem.

Finally we walked a mile and a half to find a McDonalds, something I figured I would never do, we did not find it and ate somewhere else.  Food here is very expensive.  We need to watch what we spend it on so we have enough money for the rest of our time in Amman.

There is not much to report on today because I slept through most of the day.  But we look forward to spending a lot of time in Jerusalem tomorrow.
