First off I have to say thank you so much to my parents for letting us use the van at the very last minute. You guys are awesome and I am sorry that I did not plan correctly for this week.

This week does not bode well. God is going to do amazing stuff but I fear I will limp through it like a dog missing a leg. Sure I’ll make it through but not without looking silly and being a source of pity for many.

Last week was good, I had quite a few good conversations with counselors and a few students. It’s hard to have more since video editing takes up so much of my time. My goal for this week is to continue in this despite being tired. My fitness goal for the week is being able to jog all the way to the ball field without stopping. I don’t know if this will be possible due to the rapid incline but I will try.

The speaker this week seems like he is going to be good. He made a statement that I appreciated, essentially saying. Christians use “being love” as an excuse for never really doing anything. We are called as Christians to share love with the world for sure. But there is a point where standing up for Christ will put us at odds with people. What do we do at that point? Do we say, “well I don’t want to make anyone upset or uncomfortable” and walk away from the truth? Or do we stand our ground for truth in a loving but steadfast way? We have such a narrow view of love… Any parent knows that love is more than happy feelings. Love can come in many unexpected forms: discipline, sacrifice, consequence, boundaries. I desire that my view of love (of God and people) would be broader so that I could living Biblically and lovingly according to scripture. Jesus lived a life of love but never did that mean He wasn’t at odds with someone. I’m looking forward to seeing what this looks like for me.

Quote of the day:
“Ouch that was a double shot of expresso to my soul.” (after Aaron insulted me twice in succession.)
